Planting seeds in our vegetable garden today.
Preschoolers acted out the life cycle of a butterfly today. We started as an egg on a leaf (pillowcase), hatched into a caterpillar, made a chrysalis and stayed inside for a week, and became a butterfly!

We will be visiting the Fractured Prune Doughnut Shop (47192 Michigan Ave. in the strip mall in front of Kohl’s) on Wednesday, May 13 at 6:00. The manager will take us on a tour of the kitchen to watch how the batter is made, how doughnuts are cooked, and how the glaze is made. The tour is $5 per child which includes a doughnut and a drink (adults are free). If your child would like to glaze and decorate a doughnut at a do-it-yourself station after the tour, it would be an additional $2.50. This should be a very fun event, and we hope to see everyone there!
They are reenacting the butterfly lifecycle using the plastic model, while observing the real butterfly that emerged from its chrysalis yesterday!
Music with Ms. Carissa and her pink guitar! The children loved her!
