In our garden today, the children put more dirt on top of the potatoes that we planted last month. The bean plants (behind us) are getting big. We also dug up carrots that re-seeded themselves from the fall, and shook the dirt off of them back into the garden. Many children stayed in the garden to work instead of going to play on the playground!
Pictures from our family picnic. We had a terrific school year-thank you so much!
The children were reading off sight words with Mrs. Arras today. 43 words in 1 1/2 minutes-not bad! We have more, but we didn’t do the other little pile this time….
The children love playing the game “Wildcraft-a Herbal Adventure”. They are learning to identify herbs, wildflowers, and other plants
Here are a few of the finished projects from printmaking with recycled materials-each one very unique!
Building sentences at the writing table!
He is excited that he can now swing without any help from us! That makes me happy and sad at the same time, but we are all proud of his new skills!
Looking at our boy chicken (rooster) today. Love the little comb on top of its head!
Look at our baby chicks, now! Farmer Bill brought them back to us for our last week of school. They are in a hutch by the garden. Thank you Miss Vogt for wrangling them-they are tricky to catch and hold!
Today we picked strawberries from our garden. They were juicy and delicious!
