The kids enjoyed reading today on the bookmobile.
The coolest thing happened today. Farmer Bill was working in the field next to the school, and he came to get us. We walked over, and he showed us a newborn fawn, curled up in the field waiting for its mom to come back with food. The children watched as he nudged it. The fawn jumped up, made a sheep sound (?), looked at us and ran a few feet into the tall grass to hide. What a special experience for the kids!
We read 5 Little Monkeys Wash the Car, and the kids got very creative in the sand box. They poured sand on the cars, sang a “dirty car” song, and then cleaned each car, retelling the story in their own words.
Giving a hug before leaving for a long summer vacation. Have fun, we will all miss you!
Doing beginning sound work with the movable alphabet.
We had a special snack today provided by one of our families – manoush bread with cheese or zaatar. Thank you-it was yummy!
School is closed today for Memorial Day

Preschoolers released the butterflies out in the garden today, but the children were able to hold them first. Bye, bye butterflies!
